Passionate About Communication
With nearly 20 years of experience in the public relations field, I’ve learned a thing or two about the importance of having a solid communication plan.
During my time in the U.S. Army, I learned the importance of telling a brand's story clearly, concisely, and consistently. I learned very quickly that simplicity counts, brevity is always best, and that without credibility, people will not believe your message.
After I retired from the Army, I took a position as the public information officer for the Washington State Department of Health. My time with the Department of Health taught me that if you want to communicate effectively, your actions, images, and words must be coordinated, integrated, and synchronized across all communication channels and platforms.
I am passionate about communication, but what drives me to succeed is helping organizations reach their communication goals.
This is where Kathan Communications comes in. I pull from my years of experience and provide solutions to communication problems.
